Riviera Hall Lutheran Preschool serves potty trained children ages 3-5 years old and provides a safe, caring, Christian learning environment. We nurture the whole child, instill a foundation of faith and a love for learning to last a lifetime.

About the programs
Cubs (3-4 year olds)
Cubs must be 3 years old and potty trained. Cubs focus on developmentally appropriate activities that enhance large and fine motor skills, creative art projects, music and movement, chapel, reading and social skills that better ensure their success for the future. Small group instruction with one on one time with the teacher. Collaborative teaching preparing the transition of the 3 year old class to the pre-kindergarten class. Cubs is part of a two year program. Cubs have priority enrollment into the Pre-k class.
Pre-Kindergarten/Pre-K (4 years old by September 1st)
Pre-k focuses on kindergarten readiness and early academics following the Preschool Learning Foundations. Child and adult led activities help children develop strong academic foundations, communication, social, gross and fine motor skills, problem solving and creativity. Classroom instruction is thematic, integrating purposeful indoor and outdoor activities to foster literacy and math concepts and inquiry about the world around them. Small group instruction with one-on-one time with teacher and teacher assistants. Safe, age appropriate playground designed for children 3-5 separate from elementary/middle school.
Highlights of both programs include:
- Chapel and Prayer time
- Socialization and language development
- Phonemic Awareness
- Letter and number recognition
- Beginning to print letters, numbers, and draw shapes
- Understanding the meaning of numbers and quantity
- Weekly themes focusing on number and counting concepts, science, exploration and language development.
Students transition from cooperative play to organized play with an emphasis on independent work
Enrichment components of the programs include: religion, STEM, cooking, gardening, a minimum of 2 hours of physical outdoor play, music and movement, gymnastics, dance, soccer, basketball, Spanish and special guests like Lizard Wizard, Blue Submarine and various community helpers enrich our program.
School Hours
Extended Day Program: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
Full Day Program: 8:30-3:00pm
Half Day Program: 8:30am –1:00pm
With a choice of 4 or 5 days per week.
The school is open year round.

How Long as the preschool been operating
The preschool is a ministry of Resurrection Lutheran Church and was founded in 1968
Do you have to be a member of resurrection Lutheran Church
Membership is not required, but encouraged. Church members do have priority into the schools and receive a substantial discount.
What grade levels are offered at the preschool
There are two classes: Cubs – children are potty trained and age 3 and Pre-kindergarten Lions- children are age 4 by September 1st.
Is the preschool year round
The academic year runs September to mid-June. A play based summer camp is offered mid-June to August.
Does the preschool offer enrichment programs
Yes, gymnastics, soccer, basketball, dance, music and movement and lego building are enrichment classes offered.
Are uniforms required in preschool
No
Are parent/teacher conferences offered at preschool
Yes, conferences are intended to provide a safe place for open discussion between parents and teachers. An opportunity to support your child’s development.
